Tierkreis Online is Unlikely |

Much has been made of Suikoden Tierkreis' trademark status. One of the most worrying/joyful for some people is the following status; IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely providing on-line video games
This had led some people to go from point A to point Z, skipping the entire alphabet in the process. However, people would be wise not to assume that this means Suikoden Tierkreis, if anything ever comes of this, remember, will be an on-line game or an MMORPG.
Games that have a similar or identical trademark status are the World of Mana (the Mana series as a whole), Dragon Quest Swords, Castlevania Judgement and Castlevania Order of Ecclesia, each of which have only very small on-line elements planned if any at all whereas dedicated on-line games and MMORPG's such as World of Warcraft have an entirely different trademark status, that being;
IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services in the nature of an on-line interactive game provided by means of a global computer network.
You can probably spot the difference and it's a big one. An MMORPG is usually interactive and it is also usually provided by, that's right, means of a global computer network. Without a global network to connect players in an interactive manner, it's not really an MMORPG. Which is exactly what Suikoden Tierkreis' trademark doesn't claim to be.
Really, the fact is that at the moment, we cannot use Tierkreis' trademark status to determine much more than some form of computer software has been trademarked with that name. However, given precedence in the usage of terms as mentioned above, it is hard to believe that Tierkreis will suddenly turn around and turn out to be an MMORPG if anything. In fact, usage of the original status posted above doesn't seem to be confirmation for the most tenuous on-line connection yet.
Another thing you might have noticed is that Castlevania Judgement and Castlevania Order of Ecclesia have exactly the same trademark status as Suikoden Tierkreis. So whatever "on-line" elements appear in those two Konami games (for the Wii and Nintendo DS respectively) is about what to expect if a game called Suikoden Tierkreis is ever released.
