Buh?

Yes, it's true, at least in Japan! Konami Station in conjunction with i-revo are launching a Genso Suikoden radio site, as you can see from this link.

A radio drama, the voice actors will include Kenichi Suzumura (鈴村健一) as Tir McDohl, which appears to be the name being used for the Tenkai Star in this radio drama based on the first Genso Suikoden, Koyasu Takehito (子安武人), Yuichi Nakamura (中村悠一), Konishi Katsuyuki (小西克幸) and Hisashi Oda (小田久史) with supposedly more to come. The roles for the other voice actors are currently unknown.

Features stated to be included will be a Mail Box, a Co-operation Attack segment (with people apparently making up co-op attacks based on real life) and a Rune Collection segment where listeners are invited to come up with their own rune ideas.

What else will happen on this internet radio show? I'm not sure myself but more details will be coming shortly. The show itself is scheduled to be first broadcast on the 27th of August. Hopefully when the time comes Due Fiumi will have, well, a man listening to Japan. We can only hope this radio show will hold some meaningful news and information, although by the hints of content given to us so far, that doesn't seem to be a dead cert.

However, obviously this is excellent news for those of us hoping for a continuation of the series. This is a move that, for most, can have little interpretation other than a desire from Konami to keep talk about the series churning, rather than a penny squeezing exercise designed to get the last few yen out of a dying series before pulling the life support. Whether or not the radio show is any good, this, along with the registration of the Suikoden Tierkreis trademark, can only be good news for fans of the series.
