Suikoden Tierkreis has been confirmed for the Nintendo DS by Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu.
Here is the information supposedly contained therein. - 50% complete
- Characters are 3d
- Backgrounds 2d
- Traditional rpg it looks like
- You tap the touch screen, making battles move at a fast pace
- The main headline of the article is "The Chosen 108 heroes have been destroyed?!" so maybe this game will be different from other Suikoden games in that regard?

The following voices have now been confirmed for Konami's Suikoden radio drama, due for broadcast on August 27th. Some production credits have also been revealed. First, the voice acting accreditations. Tir McDohl: Kenichi Suzumura (鈴村健一)
Gremio: Takehito Koyasu (子安武人)
Ted: Akira Ishida (石田彰)
Flik: Nakamura Yuichi (中村悠一)
Viktor: Konishi Katsuyuki (小西克幸)

Kasumi: Satoshi Kama (伊藤かな恵)
Cleo: 竹間千ノ美 (A stage name for someone I cannot yet identify)
Pahn: Satoshi Hino (日野聡)

Five voice actors have been confirmed for Konami Station's internet radio drama based on the first Genso Suikoden game, scheduled for broadcast on August 27th. Although only one of them have been confirmed to be cast in a specific role thus far.Kenichi Suzumura (鈴村健一) has been confirmed as the voice of Tir McDohl (the name Tir has also been confirmed to be the name used by the hero in the radio drama).
Suzumura is probably best known as the Japanese VA or seiyu, if you want to get all 'anime' on it, of Zack Fair in Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core for the PlayStation Portable. In other video game work, he has also provided the voice of Leo Stenbuck in Zone of the Enders:The Second Runner and Gippal in Final Fantasy X-2. In 2008, he won the "Best Radio Personality" award at the second Seiyu Awards. His debut was in the anime Macross 7. |

Buh?Yes, it's true, at least in Japan! Konami Station in conjunction with i-revo are launching a Genso Suikoden radio site, as you can see from this link. A radio drama, the voice actors will include Kenichi Suzumura (鈴村健一) as Tir McDohl, which appears to be the name being used for the Tenkai Star in this radio drama based on the first Genso Suikoden, Koyasu Takehito (子安武人), Yuichi Nakamura (中村悠一), Konishi Katsuyuki (小西克幸) and Hisashi Oda (小田久史) with supposedly more to come. The roles for the other voice actors are currently unknown.

Much has been made of Suikoden Tierkreis' trademark status. One of the most worrying/joyful for some people is the following status; IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely providing on-line video games
This had led some people to go from point A to point Z, skipping the entire alphabet in the process. However, people would be wise not to assume that this means Suikoden Tierkreis, if anything ever comes of this, remember, will be an on-line game or an MMORPG.

Konami Corporation has trademarked the name "Suikoden Tierkreis" in North America for use with "video game software". Could these mean a new release in our favourite series? Perhaps, seeing as this is how news of Suikoden Tactics first reached our ears, through a similar trademark. However any Square-Enix fan who remembers Chrono Break knows to remain at least a little cautious.
For those of you pondering the meaning of the word "Tierkreis", it's German for "Zodiac".
